Press and Information Office
Greifswald University's Press and Information Office informs the media, the public and those connected with Greifswald about teaching, research, further education, conferences and events at the University.
Information is made available in press releases and in the calendar of events. The Press Office also holds press conferences, evaluates media coverage of the University, keeps the public posted with its events calendar and distributes brochures and pamphlets. The Press and Information Office ensures that journalists at Greifswald University find the appropriate contacts and provides the experts needed for their research. In addition it advises University members in their interaction with the media and the public.
With Greifswald University's central Internet service, the Press and Information Office is able to address the public directly. Following § 6 of the MDStV (Media Services Act), the Press Office is conceptually and editorially responsible for all Internet information concerning the University administration and that of its self-administration committees.
Sabine Köditz, the Press Office's associate, also collects all important information from throughout the University for the course programmes.
