Studying in Greifswald really is fun.
Exam preparation at the beach, sailing after the lab? This is part of everyday life in Greifswald. Ultimately, students here study and research where others spend their holidays. Being Germany's sunniest region, the Baltic invites you to sail and bathe. But those who are not as keen on swimming will no doubt find the right leisure time activity from the extensive choice of university sport and the town's numerous sport clubs. The University's and the town's cultural programmes are impressive.
'Das Theater Vorpommern' offers a diverse programme. The 'Nordic Sound' with music and culture from Northern Europe, the Bach Weeks or the Jazz-Festival in the ruins of the monastery in Eldena have been an integral part of the town's cultural life for years. Music lovers can participate in the choir, the university's symphony orchestra and the Big Band... or can dance the night away in the various students' clubs.
