At the outset there is an individual, personal study counselling with one of the professors of Greifswald University. The counselling session takes place during a Dies academicus (every last Saturday of a month; varying location). It is necessary to pre-register. The counselling covers terms and individual aspects of admission to the study, the individual study focus, a personal curriculum and in part already examination specifics.

E.g. the counselling will deal with individual prior experience with and prior knowledge in aesthetic laser medicine, designing a flexible study program and exempting experienced candidates from appropriate parts of the study program thus lowering the number of required certificates. Therefore examination records, certificates, publications, treatment records and everything else should be brought along to this meeting that can show one’s state of training.

The definitive start of studies is then achieved by enrolling as a guest student at the University of Greifswald. Students thus enrolled in DALM, individually and by their own initiative set up a study programme by registering for lectures and practice with lecturers of their own choice.
