Ideal studying conditions
In various rankings studying at the University of Greifswald is regularly assessed as one of the best options in Germany. Small seminars, well-equipped libraries and intensive contacts to the professors are the rule rather than the exception here.
But not only are the conditions for studying very well. With around 50 different subjects in theology and arts, law and economic sciences, natural sciences and medicine Greifswald offers a wide choice. Precise information about the individual subjects and their requirements, applications, deadlines and appointments are provided by the General Course Guidance and Counselling Service. The lecture lists inform you about courses and seminars.
All questions connected with studying abroad are answered by the members of staff at the Academic Bureau of Student Exchange Programmes. Appropriate language skills which are conveyed with the help of the specialized choice offered by the Centre for Foreign Languages and Media are vital if you want to study abroad.
The Student Union is responsible for the students' social concerns. It runs the refectory and student hostels and decides on educational grants (BAföG). Further information about all areas of study is provided by the students' representatives in the AStA and by students in the departments.
