University Archive Greifswald
The University Archive preserves the University’s important documents, maintains them for future generations and makes them accessible for research.
As a public archive, the University Archive serves research and teaching at the University, its self-government and the protection of its legal rights. The staff members back up and index the documents deemed worthy of being archived for the University. Apart from general archive tasks, the research into and communication of the University’s history are a further important part of the Archive’s work.
To this effect, the University Archive provides services for research and teaching based on the archive materials it looks after. It provides information, advises and supports its users.
