Prof. Plotnikov outlined the impressive range of collaborations undertaken by MGSU, including partnerships with universities in the Global South and the USA. He also highlighted MGSU’s strong focus on cultural heritage in research and teaching, as well as facilities such as the university’s own art gallery, which has recently been digitised with the support of the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. In addition, the KreativEU Institutional Coordinator at UG saw great potential in MGSU’s expertise in online teaching and COIL methodology. Initial concrete collaboration was envisaged in relation to the presentation of good practices in online teaching and COIL in the KreativEU Centre for Excellence in Digital Education and AI, the centre for upskilling teaching staff in online teaching and thus supporting virtual mobility.
