Music at the University of Greifswald
At the University of Greifswald, the University Choir, the University Symphony Orchestra and the University Big Band provide a vibrant musical programme –you can either just listen or join in yourself. In addition, the Greifswald Bach Week and the international Nordischer Klang festival attract numerous visitors to the town every year and complement the cultural calendar.
Programme and concert dates for the 2026 summer term
We will be delighted to welcome any new musicians! The following dates are scheduled for the 2026 summer term:
Programme University Choir
Sacred Concert (Duke Ellington) with the Big Band and the Rostock University Choir
Rehearsals begin on 15 April (Wednesday) at 6 pm in the Lutherhof.
- 9 and 10 May: Rehearsal weekend in Binz (with the Rostock University Choir)
- 30 June: Dies academicus
- 11 and 12 July: Concerts in Rostock and Greifswald

Rehearsals begin on 15 April (Wednesday) at 8 pm in the Lutherhof.
