Emergency Financial Aid for International Students

The Ministry of Education, Science and Culture Mecklenburg-Vorpommern is providing funds to support foreign students, who find themselves in financial difficulties due to the coronavirus crisis and have no legal entitlement to BAföG, or are unable to otherwise secure their living expenses. The financial support can be provided for up to 3 months and amounts to a maximum of 500 euros per month. The request form can be found here. Request forms can now be sent to the International Office. Please send the signed and completed form either as a scan in .pdf format to io-studiumuni-greifswaldde or via post to the International Office (Domstraße 8, 17487 Greifswald).

Studies and Teaching Start at the Universities [de]

In accordance with the decree passed by the Ministry of Education, Science and Culture Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, studies and teaching can start at the universities on 20 April 2020. Courses will be taught in digital format until further notice. Components of degree courses that cannot be taught digitally will be postponed until face-to-face teaching is reinstated. Practical courses that require special laboratories or equipment at the universities can recommence subject to special hygiene and precautionary measures.
