The University of Greifswald's Faculties

The Faculty of Theology, traditionally listed as the first of the faculties (as it is the oldest), has been one of Germany’s leading locations for the teaching and research of Protestantism since the Reformation. The Faculty of Law and Economics, which was reopened in 1991, covers all subject areas of law, economics and business studies. The teaching and research of medicine and dentistry is covered by University Medicine Greifswald in cooperation with the other faculties. The Faculty of Arts and Humanities covers the broad spectrum of the arts, cultural and social sciences. The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, founded in 1951, unites mathematics, natural sciences and computer science.
