uni-assist is a University Application Service for International students. uni-assist verifies if international students with foreign educational qualifications fulfill the requirements for an application at a German University. If all requirements are fulfilled, the documents are sent to Greifswald, where the University decides on the admission. The application is to be submitted online. All necessary documents and the signed application form in paper form have to be submitted to uni-assist before the end of the application deadline.

(1) Applicants who didn’t achieve their study qualifications at a German-speaking facility have to prove their German language proficiency before they can start studying. A generally accepted language certificate is the „Deutsche Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang“ (DSH) level 2.  Equivalents are Test DaF level 4 and Goethe certificate C 2.

(2) Admisssion to this course is locally restricted. The determined number of study places (numerus clausus) is granted by an admission process of the University. Here, the final mark of the school leaving certificate is representative.

(3) The courses Pharmacy, Human Medicine and Dentistry are nationally restricted.
Applicants from EU/EEA-countries have to apply to the "Stiftung für Hochschulzulassung" and the University (online registration for the admission process) at the same time.

(4) An online application at uni-assist is compulsory for the Psychology course. Applicants from EU/EEA-countries have to register at the "Stiftung für Hochschulzulassung" before applying.

(5) An aptitude test is required for admission to the course Fine Arts (teaching qualification, B.A., M.A.).

This also applies for the courses Music and Church Music. You can enquire about the dates for the aptitude tests at the student counselling office or at the Institutes for Church Music and Music Studies.

(6) English language proficiency at level B2 is required for these courses.
