Call for applications: Traineeship in International Policy Analysis

The internship in the International Policy Analysis Division is aimed at applicants holding a bachelor’s degree or higher in economics, finance, data science, applied mathematics, or a related field. Applicants are expected to have knowledge of international financial and monetary economics, experience in data collection or analysis, and programming skills or experience with econometric software. In addition, excellent English skills (C1 level), proficiency in another official EU language at least at B1 level, and advanced MS Office skills are required.

Responsibilities include collecting and analysing economic data, preparing tables, charts and presentations, and maintaining and further developing databases and quantitative analysis tools. Interns also support selected research projects in the fields of international finance and macroeconomics.

The full-time internship initially lasts four to six months and may be extended to a maximum of twelve months. Depending on the position, start dates fall in spring or late summer/autumn 2027. The monthly remuneration is €1,170, plus a possible accommodation allowance.

Applicants must be nationals of an EU Member State and meet the eligibility requirements of the traineeship programme. The application deadline is 20 October 2026. The selection process includes an online interview.
