New Rectorate Takes Office

On 1 April 2025, the new Rectorate at the University of Greifswald picked up the baton. Rector Prof. Dr. Katharina Riedel started her second term of office with new Pro-Rectors Prof. Dr. Peter Michalik, Prof. Dr. Anette Sosna, and Prof. Dr. Daniel Schiller. Lukas Voigt has also commenced his second term as Student Pro-Rector.

DAAD Prize Awarded at Dies academicus

The University of Greifswald awarded this year's DAAD Prize to master's student Yaiza Otero. Ms. Otero, who is studying German literary studies, received the award for her academic achievements, her involvement in research centres and projects, as well as her engagement outside of university studies.
