Each faculty at the University of Greifswald has one or two volunteer faculty gender equality officers who advise and support the central gender equality officer on faculty-specific issues. Their main responsibilities include participating in hiring and promotion procedures. Dr. Bettina Appel from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences currently serves as the deputy to the central equality officer.
