Deutschlandstipendium Scholarships to Be Awarded at the University of Greifswald

54 Deutschlandstipendium scholarships will be awarded to students at the University of Greifswald at the start of winter semester 2021/2022. The award ceremony in which the scholarship certificates will be handed over will take place on Monday, 18 October 2021, at 11.00 a.m. in the Kulturbahnhof (KuBa).

172 students applied for a Deutschlandstipendium this year. Criteria for the allocation of a scholarship are not only excellent study achievements, but also engagement in society and social activities, as well as overcoming personal restrictions and hurdles related to special life situations.

During the ceremony, Falko Mahnhardt, a representative of Debeka, and the scholarship holder Clemens Steinert will share some of their experiences with the scholarship programme. Clemens Steinert is currently studying Protestant Theology.

A Deutschlandstipendium scholarship amounts to € 300/month and is granted for a period of at least one year. Half of the sum is provided by the national government. The University raises the remaining amount from companies, foundations, societies and private individuals.
