Sustainability is a term whose core meaning is to preserve and protect the ecological foundations of life. It encompasses ecological, economic and social aspects, as well as others, which is why it is relevant to all academic disciplines.
Academic theses and doctoral dissertations from the five faculties of the University of Greifswald are eligible for the award. The requirement is that they must have been submitted and finally evaluated in 2025 or 2026. Works that have already participated in the call for proposals in 2025 are excluded.
The theses can be submitted by email as PDF documents to the University's Sustainability Officer, Dr Tiemo Timmermann, by 15 April 2026. Please attach copies of the original reports from both supervisors as PDF documents.
