“Research networking helps simply by providing an opportunity to exchange ideas with colleagues you don't see every day.”
Do you have a research question and are looking for (inter)disciplinary methodological or technical expertise? Do you have special methodological expertise and a corresponding tool and are looking for applications for it? Are you curious or new to the University of Greifswald or the Greifswald science location and want to talk to scientists you don't know yet? Do you see challenges for which you are looking for answers across disciplinary boundaries?
... then you are cordially invited to ‘Research Networked’ on 24 June 2026 at the Alfried Krupp Wissenschaftskolleg!
With this informal, effective networking event, we have been inviting Greifswald scientists since 2018 to get to know each other across faculty boundaries and engage in exchange.
Key details of "Forschung vernetzt":
- Date: 24 June 2026, from 1 p.m.
- Location: Alfried Krupp Wissenschaftskolleg Greifswald
- Agenda: Pitch sessions, plenty of time for networking
- Thematic focus for 2026: One Health
Participation: You can
- a) take part with a 5-minute pitch on the research focus ‘One Health’, in which you outline your concerns and identify your networking needs
- b) present yourself with a poster
- c) come to the event as a listener and actively network.
Information on registration will be available here shortly.
Circle of participants: With the aim of interfaculty networking and the prospect of joint research projects, ‘Research Networked’ is primarily aimed at scientists at the Greifswald science location who are themselves eligible to apply to the usual funding institutions, i.e. after completing their doctorates. Doctoral students are welcome as guests!
This year, the One Health Days 2026 will focus on the One Health research priority at the University of Greifswald. To this end, "Forschung vernetzt" and the strategy conference of the T!Raum One Health Region Vorpommern are joining forces under the motto Science meets Transfer to shed light on One Health from both a scientific and a transfer-related perspective. In addition, the Aktionstag Gesundheit und Nachhaltigkeit on 25 June 2026 and the Wissenschaftstag on 27 June 2026 will offer opportunities to learn about One Health and engage in conversation with stakeholders from the region.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Dr Stefan Seiberling, Maria Moynihan and Sara Hackert at the Centre for Research Funding and Transfer (zffuni-greifswaldde).
