Gender Prize 2021

Any academic dissertations or doctoral theses can be submitted that have recently been completed at one of the University of Greifswald’s faculties, including University Medicine. If you have any queries, in particular with regard to pieces of writing completed for the Staatsexamen (State Examination) in teaching degrees, please contact us via the email address provided below. Selection criteria

The Equal Opportunities Committee reviews the applications and submits a proposal for the award to the Gender Equality Officer and the Rectorate. The Rectorate decides on the award winner in consultation with the Gender Equality Officer.

The following criteria are relevant for the selection process:

  •    The piece of work takes the gender perspective into account in a special way.
  •    The work adds value and makes a significant contribution (scientific relevance) to gender research in the respective discipline.
  •    The topic is innovative and future-oriented.
  •    The topic is current.
  •    Follow-up research can be performed on the topic.
