DFG Heisenberg Grant for Greifswald Researcher

PD Dr. Katharina Hoff has received a DFG Heisenberg Grant to establish an independent research group focusing on the development of an extensive annotation system for millions of eukaryotic genomes. The group will use machine-learning processes to improve the prediction of genes in genomes.

Applied Excellence Research Projects in the Field of AI

Two research projects have been granted funding from Mecklenburg-Vorpommern's research excellence programme: "BehAIve" and "PIRATE". PIRATE aims to provide personalised risk assessments for patients with brain aneurysms. BehAIve has set itself the goal of developing support offers for senior citizens in their home environments.
