From 19 to 21 November 2025, KreativEU held its 1st Annual Student Conference, with just over 100 students participating in 14 different events.

The Conference was centered on the theme: The KreativEU Student Ecosystem. Co-Creating Learning and Mastering Research. The workshops, keynotes and lightning talks that were presented during the conference adressed three main topics.

Day One, 19 November 2025, focussed on „Mastering research and presenting it“. Students learned about the importance of good scientific practice, science communication and the linguistic view on moralisations in communication about AI. They also got to practice their skills of mastering an elevator pitch about their own research topic. Finally, the day ended with a session on the relevance of including the ecological perspective in teaching and research on cultural heritage.

Day Two, 20 November 2025, was all about „Co-creating learning“ and having students as partners. Students learned how they may get involved in co-creating their own learning experience in general as well as how they may participate in designing concrete KreativEU formats – such as the KreativEU Career Centre, the KreativEU Joint Master Programmes and the KreativEU Student Festivals.

On Day Three, 21 November 2025, different student organisations presented „good practice samples of student engagement“, how to initiate and run student initiatives.

Students from all 11 KreativEU partner universities were actively involved in the Conference by presenting their University in an Elevator Pitch. Although the lectures and workshops took place online, students were able to meet up in person at Social Programmes organised by each university in the evenings. The Social Programmes focussed on cultural heritage and traditions, but also gave students the opportunity to mingle, exchange ideas and get a sense of what it means to belong to the KreativEU community.

The WP2 Team of KreativEU Team is proud to look back on this first Student Conference together with this year‘s hosts at the University of Greifswald and looks forward to welcoming students to the next Student Conference, which will be hosted by the University of Trnava in Slovakia, in 2026!
