The MON!StER media education lab (Media literacy ON! Study – Experiment – Research) comprises several small rooms with different functions: a multifunctional studio with a green screen, a 3D printer, and other technical equipment; two seminar rooms with videography equipment; and (in the future) a small podcast studio.

At MON!StER, students and faculty have the opportunity to produce media and experiment with it. Innovative concepts for teaching and learning situations can be developed and tested. In addition, the videography setup facilitates academic research and critical reflection on media education and teaching practices.

As part of courses offered by the Chair of Media Pedagogy and Media Education, students receive an introduction to using the necessary equipment.
