Forms for newly recruited staff - staff documents

A staff record is created for all employees of the University of Greifswald. The legal basis for the collection of personal data in the application and hiring process is, among other things, the State Civil Service Act (LBG) and the Collective Agreement for the Civil Service of the States (TV-L). The handling of staff data is subject to data protection regulations. All employees have the right to inspect their staff record or to receive information on the storage of their personal data.

We require the following information for the preparation of the employment contract and the associated administration. Please make copies (in German or English translation if necessary) of the documents/certificates and bring the originals with you when signing the contract.

  • Curriculum vitae
  • Birth certificate
  • Marriage certificate, if applicable (in this case the birth certificate is not required)
  • Birth certificate of children, if applicable
  • Divorce decree if applicable (first page is sufficient)
  • Last school report
  • Certificate of completion of vocational training
  • Academic higher education (e.g. diploma, master's degree, state examination, doctorate, habilitation, certificate and, if applicable, transcript)
  • Certificates of previous employment (e.g. employment contracts, certificates)
  • Certificate of good conduct, if required (this will be requested separately by the responsible member of staff at the HR Department) 
  • Visa, work permit, copy of identity card, if applicable

We require the following documents for the payment of your salary. The data will be sent to the State Finance Office to calculate your salary.

It is legally necessary to inform you about a number of laws and regulations. In order to be able to prove that you have been instructed, please confirm that you have taken note of this with your signature. The documents will also be added to your staff file.
