At the University of Greifswald’s Institute of Psychology, Professorship for Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy (Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences), there is a permanent part-time (50%) position as a
(Postdoctoral) Teaching and Research Associate
that is to be filled at the earliest possible date, subject to budgetary regulations. Payment will be made according to pay grade 13 TV-L Wissenschaft.
The licensing regulations for psychotherapists (PsychThApprO), adopted by the Bundesrat on 14 February 2020, requires training institutions to teach scientifically recognised therapeutic procedures and methods. This expansion of the scope of training necessitates the addition of staff to the Professorships for Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy, particularly in guideline procedures (“Richtlinienverfahren”) beyond behavioural therapy. The University of Greifswald strives to ensure that students gain in-depth expertise in the quality and diversity of psychotherapy and therefore the required new forms of teaching and examination (especially practice-oriented and patient-oriented teaching) will cover the diversity of procedures.
Accordingly, we are seeking a candidate from the field of clinical psychology and psychotherapy who is licensed as a Psychological Psychotherapist with expertise in psychodynamic psychotherapy, analytical psychotherapy, or systemic psychotherapy, or who is at an advanced stage of training in one of these approaches.
The professorship’s mission is to combine research, teaching, and practice (realised at the Center for Psychological Psychotherapy, ZPP). All three areas focus on personalised psychotherapy research (particularly for patients with depressive disorders) as well as psychological support in the context of current crises (cf. initiative “Together for Mental Health”, GPG, Third Mission Engagement, psychologie.uni-greifswald.de/gemeinsam/). Teaching and research are closely coordinated with the Professorship for Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology and Psychotherapy and the University’s Outpatient Clinic for Children and Adolescents (ZPKJ).
