Problems related to supervision during the scientific qualification phases
The Graduate Academy offers doctoral candidates confidential counselling on issues such as problems with supervision, dealing with colleagues, and abuse of power in academia. The Head of the Graduate Academy, Dr Michael Schöner, is a coach for good scientific practice and also a conflict mediator.
Academic misconduct
One of the fundamental requirements of scientific work is adherence to basic standards of scientific ethics and the rules of good scientific practice. These include standards for the correct handling of scientific data and the scientific achievements of others. If individuals suspect a case of academic misconduct, they can contact an ombudsperson.
