DAAD Prize 2026

This year's DAAD Prize was awarded to Aliya Mironova at the Dies Academicus on 30 June 2026. Ms. Mironova was honoured for her high level of commitment and her contributions toward student life and university politics which have seen her take on various roles, including in the AStA and ESN Network, at the University of Greifswald. Further activities include medical relief projects and solidarity events for those affected by the war in Ukraine.

Honorary Doctorate for Ursula Gather

The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences awarded Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Ursula Gather an honorary doctorate at their 75th anniversary celebrations. The internationally renowned mathematician and Chair of the Board of Trustees at the Krupp Foundation was honoured for her scientific contributions and immense efforts to foster Greifswald as an academic location.
