Walking seminar in Romania: Living Heritage: Tracing Wallachia's Legacy across its Historic Capitals

This week-long walking seminar invites participants on a journey through the historic capitals of Wallachia – Curtea de Argeș, Câmpulung, Târgoviște and Bucharest – to discover the complex history, architecture and cultural identity of these cities. Through guided tours, expert-led discussions and site-specific activities, participants engage with the tangible and intangible heritage that has shaped both Romanian and European history.

The walking seminar combines academic research with experiential learning, offering a dynamic format in which walking serves as a means of reflection, dialogue and discovery. Participants will explore rulers' courtyards, monasteries, museums and urban spaces while taking part in joint sessions on cultural heritage preservation, cultural sustainability and European identity.

Registration is open to KreativEU professors, researchers and students who are enthusiastic about architecture, cultural heritage and European identity.
