The conference's theme was: The KreativEU Student Ecosystem. Co-Creating and Mastering Research. The workshops, keynotes and lightning talks presented during the conference focused on three main topics.
On day 1, 19 November 2025, the focus was on ‘Mastering and presenting research’. Students gained insights into the importance of good scientific practice, science communication and the linguistic perspective on moralisation in communication about AI. They were also able to practise and develop their skills in presenting their own research topic convincingly in an elevator pitch. The day ended with a lecture on the relevance of incorporating an ecological perspective into teaching and research on cultural heritage.
Day 2, 20 November 2025, focused on ‘Co-creating learning’ and ‘Students as partners’. It explored opportunities for students to participate in shaping their own learning experience in general and in designing KreativEU formats – such as the KreativEU Career Centre, KreativEU Joint Master Programmes and KreativEU Student Festivals.
On day 3, 21 November 2025, representatives of various student organisations presented ‘Good Practice Samples of Student Engagement’ and showed how student organisations can be set up and run.
On two of the three days of the conference, students from the 11 KreativEU partner universities actively participated by presenting their university in an elevator pitch. The presentations and workshops took place online, but in the evening, participants had the opportunity to exchange ideas in person at locally organised social programmes at their university and get a feel for what it means to be part of KreativEU.
The WP2 team at KreativEU, together with this year's organisers at the University of Greifswald, look back with pride on the first Student Conference and look forward to welcoming students to the next Student Conference in 2026, which will be hosted by the University of Trnava in Slovakia!
