The KreativEU team visited the "Heimvolkshochschule" in Lubmin

On 12 September 2025, the KreativEU team from the University of Greifswald visited the Heimvolkshochschule¹ in Lubmin. The Project Coordinator Ms Hartmann and Coordinator Centres Mr Haselhorst received a very warm welcome from the director, Ms Jentzsch.

The discussion revealed that there are both structural and thematic areas in which future cooperation could be explored: The Career Centre planned within the alliance, for example, focuses on lifelong learning, an area in which the Heimvolkshochschule is already active through the concept of Bildungsurlaub². The educational centre’s artistic and creative activities also offer potential for exchange with the planned KreativEU Arts & Heritage Incubator. Furthermore, institutions in the district of Vorpommern-Greifswald are expected to collaborate directly with their respective counterparts in the partner countries, either idependently or through the universities. On the other hand, the thematic focus is also on sustainability and the cultural heritage of the region, as eco-cultural identity is a defining theme of KreativEU.

The next meeting is planned for early December 2025. The next meeting is planned for early December 2025. Then, prioritised topics will be discussed in more detail.
