Good scientific Practice
Dr. Michael Schöner, head of the Graduate Academy and certified trainer for good scientific practice, will discuss the topics of guidelines and statutes for good scientific practice, good scientific practice in dealing with research data, supervision and conflicts, publication and authorship, good scientific practice in research, and good scientific practice in research in two 4-hour workshops together with the participants. Good scientific practice in dealing with research data, supervision and conflicts, publication and authorship, scientific writing in times of artificial intelligence and contact points. The two half-day workshop provides an opportunity to reflect on your own research practice and creates space to talk confidentially about your own experiences. Eröffnungsvortrag der Vortragsreihe Studium universale: Erkenntnistheorie – Worum geht es da eigentlich?

Die Erkenntnistheorie beschäftigt sich mit der Natur menschlicher Erkenntnis. Aber was bedeutet das eigentlich? Der Philosoph und Erkenntnistheoretiker Prof. Dr. Gerhard Ernst, Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg, gibt uns Einblicke.
In diesem Vortrag wird die These vertreten, dass sich die philosophische Erkenntnistheorie vor allem als Reaktion auf die sogenannte skeptische Herausforderung verstehen lässt. Diese besteht darin, dass einfache und sehr starke Argumente etwas zu zeigen scheinen, was wir nicht akzeptieren können, nämlich dass Erkenntnis prinzipiell unmöglich ist. Der Vortag wird sowohl die Herausforderung als auch mögliche Reaktionen auf sie skizzieren.
Gerhard Ernst studierte Philosophie, Logik und Wissenschaftstheorie sowie Physik an der Universität Kaiserslautern, der Hochschule für Philosophie S.J. in München und der LMU München. 2001 wurde er mit der Arbeit Das Problem des Wissens (Paderborn 2002) an der LMU promoviert, 2004 habilitierte er sich ebenda (vgl. Die Objektivität der Moral, Paderborn 2008). 2008-2012 war er Professor an der Universität Stuttgart, seit 2012 hat der den Lehrstuhl für Philosophie an der FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg inne. Seit 2008 ist Gerhard Ernst Präsident der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Philosophie.
