Since January 1, 2026, the Ministry of Science, Culture, Federal and European Affairs (WKM), in cooperation with the project sponsor German Aerospace Center (DLR), has been making the e-learning program „Forschungssicherheit MV“  available to all state universities in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (WKM press release). Successful completion is confirmed with a certificate.

Use and scope:

• The program will initially be available exclusively in German until December 31, 2026.
• Duration: approx. 80 minutes, can be interrupted and resumed; progress is saved.
• Contents: Introduction and several modules on management systems, physical security, cybersecurity, compliance, international cooperation strategy, and due diligence in science.
• Completion: All modules must be completed. This is followed by a multiple-choice test with 9 questions; at least 6 correct answers are required to obtain the certificate. Repetitions are possible.

Important information before use:

• The eLearning course is provided externally; registration is via the institution-related email address (vorname.name@uni-greifswald.de).
• A NEW password must be created; DO NOT use the password for your central user account.
