What do Campus Specialists do?

As Campus Specialists, we are students at the University of Greifswald and help people out who have any questions to do with studying or life in the University and Hanseatic town. Whether school pupils, prospective students, freshers or students who have been here for longer - we’ll be happy to answer any questions concerned with studies and life in Greifswald.

Lea Erikson

I am studying: B.A. Communication Studies [de] and Economics and Business Administration [de]
In Greifswald since: Winter semester 2016/2017
My specialist areas: General study advice, especially arts/humanities and Economics and Business Adminsitration, life in Greifswald, international aspects.
What I like about my degree in Greifswald: The interesting combination of Communication Studies and Economics and Business Administration, the I like the small seminars and I appreciate that all the teachers and members of staff of the University are very co-operative. 
What I like about Greifswald: Spending my evenigs at the harbour during summer, you have a lot of opportunities to get involved outside of the University, the Old Town and that there are a lot of cafes and pubs.

Marie Schlicht

I am studying: B.A. Communication Studies [de] und British Studies [de]
In Greifswald since: Winter semester 2015/2016
My specialist areas: Arts/humanities, international aspects, Geisteswissens, extramural activities, life in Greifswald.
What I like about my degree in Greifswald: The good student-teacher ratio small and the high quality of teaching due to small course groups, the modern facilites.

What I like about Greifswald: I accprecaite the familiarity among the students, the vicinity to the sea, you have a lot of opportunities to get involved outside of the University

In Greifswald since: Winter semester 2014/2015
My specialist areas: Law, Economics and Business Administration, voluntary work in the community, networking, cultural life in Greifswald
What I like about my degree in Greifswald: the long opening hours of the library, the good student-teacher ratio and the campus 
What I like about Greifswald: the vicinity to the beach, the summer, the Running Dinner and I like the fact that there are so many clubs and initiatives at the University

In Greifswald since: Winter semester2013/2014  
My specialist areas: General study advice, especially Political Science and Public Law, life in Greifswald.
What I like about my degree in Greifswald: I like the small courses/seminars, which enable the students to have a good ratio with the teachers; short distances; I appreciate that all the members of staff of the University are very co-operative and I generally like the good atmosphere at the University. 
What I like about Greifswald: I accprecaite the small-town familiarity of Greifswald, the variety of leisure opportunities and the town's vicinity to the sea.

In Greifswald since: Winter semester 2012/2013
My specialist areas: Arts/humanities, especially Communication Science, voluntary work in the community, university politics, life in Greifswald, international aspects
What I like about my degree in Greifswald: ...that the whole town is like a campus, you can have a chat with your teachers outside the classroom and the great student networking.
What I like about Greifswald: ... you always feel a breeze from the sea while cycling, to let the summer evenings pass while sitting at the harbour. Even though Greifswald is small, it is very nice.

Dana Fritzsche

In Greifswald since: Winter semester 2014/2015
My specialist areas: Political and cultural life in Greifswald, voluntary work in the community, networking 
What I like about my degree in Greifswald: ... you can find sand from the beach in your university books, young teachers, small groups for seminars and the long opening hours of the library 
What I like about Greifswald: ... small town – great cultural life, all the great people, the International Students Festival GriStuF, Kino auf Segeln (you watch a film on a sail) at the Museum Harbour, the Running Dinner, the bar Kulturbar and much more.
