Notes on examination registration

Examination registration for the winter semester 2025/2026 is limited to the period from

22 September to 26 October 2025

(registration deadline). You can only register and, if necessary, deregister for your exams during this period. After that, withdrawal from an exam is only possible under certain requirements and must be requested in writing from the Central Examination Office (see § 8 PO ReWi). Please check that your exams have been properly recorded in the portal ("My functions" > "Exam administration" > "Information about registered exams") after you have registered or deregistered.

If you have any questions, discrepancies and/or technical problems, please contact the Central Examination Office immediately (preferably by email).

You can find detailed information on the exams for your degree course (regular examination date, admission requirements, etc.) in the Examination and Study Regulations (PSO) valid for you.

Further information on all topics relating to exams can be found on the website of the Central Examination Office.

The deadline does not apply

• for the registration of non-assessed coursework. These can be registered or deregistered at any time via the portal.

• for the basic subject, the specialisation area and the additional qualification in the Law degree course (Staatsexamen (State Examination)). Please note the separate registration procedure including deadlines.

Do not forget:

• To avoid discrepancies and delays at a later date, please regularly check your data control sheet ("My functions" > "Certificates of enrolment") to ensure that your personal data is up to date and matches the data on your identity card in full (§ 28 ImmaO).
