Effective Assignment Design for Online Learning Environments

This workshop is intended for teaching staff who are comfortable using Moodle and would like to further develop their skills in designing assignment descriptions for digital activities. The goal is to formulate clear and structured task instructions that help learners understand what is expected, enabling them to complete their work successfully.

The workshop also covers how to design appropriate assessment criteria for digital assignments.

Contents:
• Characteristics of asynchronous assignment instructions in digital learning environments
• Basics of assignment design for digital activities in Moodle
• Designing approriate assessment criteria in Moodle

Objectives:
• You understand how to formulate clear and precise assignment instructions for digital activities.
• You are familiar with different assessment criteria that can be used for Moodle assignments and are able to implement them.
