At the University of Greifswald’s Institute of Psychology, Professorship for Health and Prevention, in the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, there is a job vacancy, expected to be available from 1 June 2026, subject to budgetary regulations, for a full-time 

Postdoctoral Teaching and Research Associate
 

The position on offer is permanent. The position is suitable for part-time employment. Payment will be made in accordance with pay group 13 TV-L Wissenschaft.

Job responsibilities:

  • Teaching courses in health psychology, social psychology and organisational psychology, including a lecture (in the Bachelor of Science in Psychology, the Master of Science with a focus on Research in Science and Practice, and the Master of Science with a focus on Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy in a research context)
  • Representing the key research areas of the Professorship for Health and Prevention within the German Center for Child and Adolescent Health (DZKJ)
  • Contributing to the development of projects and research proposals
  • Leading and implementing methodological research work within the framework of the German Center for Child and Adolescent Health at the Greifswald/Rostock partner site
  • Conducting cross-site Ecological Momentary Assessment (EMA) and Geographically-explicit Ecological Momentary Assessment (GEMA) studies
  • Recording of patient-centred outcomes

Job requirements:

  • A first-class degree in psychology, social sciences or health sciences (Diplom or master’s degree)
  • PhD or PhD nearing completion in the field of psychology
  • Teaching expertise in health, social and organisational psychology
  • Demonstrated ability in conducting EMA studies with children, adolescents and young adults
  • Expertise in obtaining external funding
  • Expertise as well as previous research within in the main research areas of the partner site of the DZKJ, in particular in children and adolescents with chronic conditions
  • A record of publications in the field of Community Health Research (CHR) as well as in the field of EMA and data science, e.g. longitudinal models, as well as proven competence in leading a research group in the field of EMA or longitudinal modelling

Desired:

  • Several years’ experience in university teaching is desirable
  • Experience in leading interdisciplinary teams, management and consultancy
  • Evidence of specialised university teaching qualifications and academic engagement with issues related to (university) didactics
