At the University of Greifswald’s Institute of Psychology, Chair of Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy, in the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, subject to budgetary regulations, an indefinite position as a full-time

Research and Teaching Assistant

is available at the earliest possible date. The position is suitable for part-time employment. Payment will be made according to pay group 13 TV-L Wissenschaft.

We are looking for candidates from the fields of psychology, medicine, clinical neuroscience, mathematics, data science, or related disciplines with a specific expertise in statistics and methodology. The chair aims to closely intertwine research, teaching and psychotherapy practice. All three units are united by their focus on mechanism-based personalised psychotherapy research (especially for patients with depressive disorders) and psychological help in the context of current crises (cf. initiative "Together for Mental Health", GPG, Third Mission Engagement).

At the interface between the Chair of Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy at the Psychological Institute and the Center for Psychological Psychotherapy (ZPP), this individual is expected to support psychotherapy research and teaching at the chair, as well as take on the coordination of professional qualification activities (berufsqualifizierenden Tätigkeiten) and student advisory services in the new Master's program in Psychology with a focus on Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy. The goal of the chair and the ZPP is to teach, implement, and research scientifically recognised procedures and methods. In the context of the Greifswald Psychotherapy Navigator System (GPNS) – a monitoring and feedback system –, established at ZPP, the scientifically recognised procedures for all stages of life are to be included in order to enable evidence-based personalisation. In addition, intercultural psychotherapy projects as well as projects addressing the interactions between the climate crisis and mental health are being established as part of GPG. Finally, large third-party funded (collaborative) projects, including those from the DFG and BMBF, are initiated and carried out, aiming at the optimization of the treatment of depressive disorders.

Suitable candidates should have dedicated expertise in statistical methodology (e.g. in-depth knowledge of network models, EMA, big-data analyses, machine learning). Programming and IT expertise are both beneficial and desired.

With regard to teaching and research, there is close and cooperative interaction with the Chair of Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology and Psychotherapy as well as the University Outpatient Clinic for Children and Adolescents at ZPP, which is currently being established.
