It ensures that you are provided with the necessary first aid equipment and materials. In addition, it also organises the training of the required number of first-aiders.

The first-aiders at the organisational units stay in touch with us and, following arrangement, are given the opportunity to refresh their knowledge and skills every two years.

The contact in charge of such matters is Ms. Elke Krug, who purchases first aid equipment as required and arranges training and refresher courses for first-aiders with the Unfallkasse Mecklenburg-Vorpommern (the state’s statutory accident insurance provider) and our first aid training provider, the DRK Kreisverband Ostvorpommern-Greifswald e.V. (district association of the German Red Cross).

It is advisable to display the following notice in your organisational unit. It provides information about first aid and emergency calls, first aid and rescue facilities, first-aiders, doctors to be called and hospitals nearby. You can download and print this notice or obtain it from the Health and Safety Office.
