Every accident resulting in physical injury or death is tragic. In such cases, those affected are particularly dependent on quick and unbureaucratic help. The University of Greifswald is committed to providing prompt and effective assistance in such cases. 

In order to be able to settle claims quickly through the federal state’s statutory accident insurance provider, the Unfallkasse Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, it is necessary to report accidents. The Unfallkasse Mecklenburg-Vorpommern reviews the accident report and determines whether the reported accident is recognised as a workplace accident. Those affected will receive confirmation of the recognition of the work accident from the Unfallkasse.
