It is often not known that accidents and damage claims involving third parties – including private accidents – must be reported immediately. 

This applies both to civil servants themselves and to their dependants who are eligible for Beihilfe (state healthcare reimbursements). 

The State Government has therefore issued a circular providing information on how to report accidents where a third party is at fault or may be partly to blame.
