Examination and Study Regulations of the University of Greifswald

Examination and Study Regulations (Study Regulations) govern the procedure and content of the degree programme.

The Examination Regulations regulate the modalities of the examinations, in particular the examination deadlines, the number and form of the examinations to be taken and their requirements. Each degree course has "Joint Examination Regulations" or "General Examination Regulations". Which one applies is generally determined by § 1 of the respective Fachprüfungsordnung (Subject-Specific Examination Regulations).

The Studienordnung (Study Regulations) regulate the course of study on the basis of the Prüfungsordnung (Examination Regulations). They specify which events should be taken and in what time frame. As a rule, a study plan is attached to the Studienordnung (Study Regulations), which shows a possible course of study. The module descriptions (also known as the module catalogue or module handbook) provide an overview of all modules offered in the subject and their content.
