The respective expiry date is printed on the Student ID Card, but is also saved on the card’s chip. In order to be able to use the ID card in the following semester, it needs to be renewed (validated).

After you have paid the re-registration fee, you can renew the validity at one of the six validation machines. The new expiry date will be printed visibly on the TRW stripe (ThermoReWrite) and saved on the chip.

If you renew your ID card prior to the end of the current semester, both the current and the following semester will be indicated on the ID card.

• Mensa (cafeteria) ‘Loefflerstraße Campus’, Ernst-Lohmeyer-Platz 5, ground floor
• Lecture halls, Loitzer Straße 26, ground floor
• Central University Library, Felix-Hausdorff-Straße 10, common room (currently not in use)
• Mensa (Cafeteria) am Berthold-Beitz-Platz, Fleischmannstraße 40, ground floor
