- 2.00 p.m. Ceremonial opening of the Dies academicus by the Rector, including the presentation of the Teaching Prizes, the Sustainability Prize and other honours
Ernst-Lohmeyer-Platz 6, Lecture Hall 3/4 - 3.30 p.m. Opening of the outdoor festivities by the Rector. Diverse programme for students, members of the university community and their children. Food and drinks will be available. Courtyard of the Loefflerstraße Campus.
- 4.00 p.m. Celebratory lecture “Fatal Baltic Sea Escapes from the GDR 1961-1989” [in German] by Prof. Dr. Buchstein and Merete Peetz from the research project Ostseefluchten (Baltic Sea Escapes). Ernst-Lohmeyer-Platz 6, Lecture Hall 2
- 6.00 p.m. Pub Quiz
- Tours: Members of the university community are invited to take part in guided tours of the Anatomical Collection, the Old University Library, the Zoological Museum, the Kustodie (University Collections) and the University Main Building in the afternoon. The festivities on the Loefflerstraße Campus will draw to an end at around 8.00 p.m.
