The joint project “KarriereWegeMentoring Wissenschaft MV” is part of the state mentoring initiative, being implemented by both the University of Greifswald and the University of Rostock.
Mentoring is a proven and effective instrument for purposefully supporting junior researchers, which strengthens the potential and competencies of highly qualified female junior researches on their career paths and contributes towards equal opportunities.
It encourages participants to plan and pursue their own professional path precisely. Mentoring programmes pass on knowledge about how to deal with management requirements, structures and processes. They are there to help improve the opportunities at the start of a career and for career advancement, give access to career-enhancing contacts and help build up an own professional network.
The joint project KarriereWegeMentoring M-V bases its activities on the quality standards of the Federal Association for Mentoring in Science (Bundesverband der Mentoring-Programme in der Wissenschaft, Forum Mentoring e.V.).
KarriereWegeMentoring M-V is funded by funds from the European Social Fund for Germany and the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
