Short Periods of Stay all over the World

The funding comes from the funds provided to and managed by the International Office for startup and partial funding of partnership activities. The travel allowances are based on those set out by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD)[de].

The DAAD’s Eastern Partnership Programme[de] provides mobility grants to specifically strengthen and support the University of Greifswald’s partnership relations with universities in Middle Eastern, Eastern and Southeastern Europe, as well as the countries in the South Caucasus and Central Asia.

Periods of stay abroad for research should take place either

• within the framework of existing university partnerships, or
• in preparation of new university partnerships

Academics at the University of Greifswald can submit their requests for startup funding and partial financing of partnership activities that are planned for the following year in December of every year. The requests are made by completing an electronic survey on international activities that is sent out by the International Office. We will inform you about the grant amount that depends on the amount of available funds.

We use the remaining funds to try to support spontaneously planned trips over the course of the year. Please feel free to contact the International Office directly.
