Relevance of psychosocial factors in prevention and care of dementia

Veranstaltung der UMG

On December 9, 2026 Privatdozentin Dr. Francisca Rodriguez will give a lecture as part of the Late Lunch Seminars on the topic of "Relevance of psychosocial factors in prevention and care of dementia".

As there will be no cure for dementia in the foreseeable future and the number of people affected by this neurodegenerative disease is rising steadily, prevention of dementia as well as the best-possible treatment of those affected by it are more important than ever. PD Dr. Francisca Rodriguez’s research aims at uncovering further potential for prevention and care by focusing psychosocial factors. She investigates the role these factors play in the development and course of the disease.

The Late Lunch Seminars, the Medical Faculty’s scientific lecture series, aim to promote networking across a wide range of research topics. The talks include presentations from local scientists and external project partners as well as inaugural lectures by newly appointed professors. The lectures are primarily aimed at the scientific staff of University Medicine, the University and non-university research institutions in Greifswald.

The talk is open to the university public and will be held in English. Registration is not required.
