Workshop: Scientific Working Methods and Scientific Writing for International Students

Day 1: Study Cultures in Comparison | 25 Nov 2025 | 09:00-17:00
Explore how your cultural upbringing shapes your study habits and expectations. Compare those habits with German academic norms to see how your “culture lens” influences what you consider successful study. Learn why independent, responsible working is expected in Germany and how to adapt while keeping your strengths.

Day 2: Scientific Writing and Oral Presentation | 26 Nov 2025 | 09:00-16:30
Examine differences in academic writing expectations across countries using concrete examples, and practice applying scientific guidelines so you know what lecturers expect from written assignments. Prepare and deliver short presentations following German academic standards, and discuss project work topics such as team building, team roles, and intercultural communication within student groups.

This workshop is for international students only and will be conducted in English. It is structured as a sequence, so participation on both days is necessary; single day attendance is possible only by exception. Participation is free of charge. The location will be shared after registration.

Registration: Please sign up via this form. The online link will be sent after successful registration.
