Speed Reading Science – Read Scientific Texts Faster and More Efficiently

--- auf Startseite verbergen ---

Reading speed can easily be increased by at least 50% – even with difficult texts. Faster reading enhances text comprehension and retention and conveys greater confidence in dealing with texts. As confidence grows, so does the ability to cope efficiently with the flood of information. Competence building, improved concentration, time saving, motivation and psychological relief successfully intertwine.

Improved Reading has been providing practical reading training for well-educated adults for many years and supports participants in developing more efficient, flexible and sustainable reading skills.

Course Objectives and Content:
• Immediate, measurable and sustainable improvement in reading efficiency
• Exercises to reduce the three main reading errors
• Practice of efficient reading techniques – far beyond superficial skimming
• Flexible reading strategies for different purposes and text types
• Regular motivating progress checks with direct feedback
• Improved concentration and retention
• Reduced strain when reading on screen
• How to use AI as a helpful tool when working with scientific texts, while maintaining independent reading, critical thinking and sound judgment
• Strategies and practical tips for dealing with scientific texts

At the end of the second day, participants apply what they have learned to a scientific text from their own academic or professional context.

Important: There is no performance comparison within the group. This course is particularly challenging for non-native English speakers. Good to very good English reading proficiency (minimum B2 level) is expected.
