Types of Events

A Walking Seminar is a short-term exchange where you, as a student, participate in field-based discussions at one of the partner universities. Walks and excursions are used as a method to explore and reflect on specific topics. These seminars often include field studies and conversations held outside the traditional classroom setting. Walking Seminars thereby focus on empirical knowledge in close connection with local and national traditions, crafts, cultural practices, and folklore.

A hackathon is an intensive, short-term exchange where you work together with other students to develop ideas, solutions or prototypes to solve a specific problem within a specific theme. The exchange usually lasts between 24 and 72 hours and is often organised as a creative group project at one of the partner universities.

A Blended Intensive Programme is a short-term exchange where you, as a student, spend between 5 and 30 days at one of the partner universities. During the exchange, you take part in activities such as workshops, study visits or similar. The programme also includes a mandatory online component, which takes place before, during or after the physical exchange.

A summer school is a short-term exchange that takes place during the summer at one of the partner universities. It offers you the opportunity to study abroad for a limited time without interrupting your regular semester schedule. Summer schools may include courses, project work or other academic activities.

An International Conference brings together researchers, experts and participants from different countries and disciplines to discuss current topics, exchange knowledge and explore new perspectives.

A Student Festival brings together students from different universities, countires, or academic backgrounds together for a shared experience of culture, creativity, and exchange. Student Festivals combine fun, intercultural activities with co-creation activities and create space for new connections and ideas.
