The Graduate Academy is pleased to announce our eLearning programme presented by TwentyOne Skills science hub, Gemanys largest eLearning platform for academics. The goal of this partnership is to complement our portfolio of face-to-face and online workshops with self-learning courses, so that you can easily and independently familiarize yourself with subjects and develop new skills.

Participation is free of charge and starts in Spring 2024. The courses are implemented in Moodle. Thus, you will need a university user account to join them.

The Course Programm

The eLearning programme currently offers around 30 courses across 6 thematic categories and is constantly being expanded and updated. Besides "bestsellers" such as Presentation Skills, Science Communication, Time Management or Leadership, there are also new topics that have recently become more popular, such as Agility, Design Thinking or Mental Health.

The eLearnings are offered in two formats: "Deep Dive" and "Nuggets".
Courses with a duration of 2-3 hours are called "Deep Dive". Here, a topic area is presented in detail. "Nuggets", on the other hand, concentrate on the specific teaching of a technique or method. Those who choose a nugget do not have to expect more than approximately 20 minutes of learning time.

How it works

Access to the courses is provided via licenses, which are given out in groups. Each group forms a cohort of 25 participants who have the opportunity to attend the courses over a period of 90 days. Once the licences have been issued, all courses can be accessed in the corresponding Moodle course. After the 90-day period, the licences will be passed on to the participants of the following cohort.

Currently, it is planned to issue licences in four cohorts until February 2025. The licences of the first cohort will be assigned in Spring 2024.Outside the cohorts, free spaces can be given to people that only partly want to participate in the programme. First come, first serve!
